LIZ JIN CONSULTING

Trainings that inspire, educate, and entertain
I've sat through dozens of CLEs...and I barely remember any of them. It's a shame because the law is pretty cool, and I genuinely believe that lawyers love learning and growing.
I provide inspirational, educational, and entertaining trainings on the hard and soft skills lawyers need to thrive professionally and personally. My goal is to help lawyers be more productive, successful, and maybe even a little happier.
The world needs great lawyers. Let’s go save them.

Offerings
The Basics of a Deal
Recognize, Address, and Prevent Burnout
The Art of Public Speaking
This is the training I wish I had received as a first-year associate in Big Law. Geared for first-year corporate associates, this five-part series demystifies M&A deals in a relatable and safe environment.
We cover acquisition structures, org documents, due diligence, contracts, closings, and attorney-client privilege. We focus on the critical role that junior associates play in transactions and how to excel under high-pressure situations.
Give your associates the skills and confidence they need to hit the ground running and begin adding immediate value for your firm and clients.

Plagued by the 'Sunday Scaries'? Do you feel chronically exhausted and overwhelmed by the simplest of tasks? Do you consistently find yourself making careless errors at work and unsure why you're there in the first place? No, you're not an imposter or a fraud...you're burnt out.

In this energetic and thought-provoking session, we explore the root causes of burnout and symptoms you may be overlooking. More importantly, we discuss actionable steps you can take today to get your energy and confidence back on track. Why just survive when you can thrive?
Whether you’re negotiating with opposing counsel, delivering a closing argument to a jury, or counseling a client, effective communication is a critical skill all lawyers must master.
In this two-part series, I share tips on how anyone can immediately command a room and sound credible, competent, and confident – even when speaking off the cuff.
Part two is a fun (I promise) interactive workshop where participants can start practicing their speaking skills and get immediate feedback on what areas they can improve.

Hi, I'm Liz.
I started my career as a corporate associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in their New York and London offices. I moved in-house to The Coca-Cola Company and eventually transitioned to the business side, first at Coca-Cola and then Google.

As a seasoned public speaker and Distinguished Toastmaster, I regularly deliver trainings and keynote speeches to law firms, corporations, and other organizations.
I'm a proud graduate of the University of California Berkeley School of Law and The Schreyer Honors College at Pennsylvania State University. I am licensed to practice law in the state of New York.

When I'm not giving trainings, I'm gunning for the title of world's best aunt and planning my next adventure.
